Six down, two to go!

I just put the last stitches of page 6 into Spyro! I have 2 pages to go!!! Gosh, if I work hard...how long do I have left on him!?!?!? I am seeing the end in sight now!!!!! When I pulled this back out again last night to work on it, DH said "when are you going to work on Christmas Village?" (He got me that for Christmas 06) I told him that was my next WIP to be concentrated on! I have had this one longer!!!

I am also going to attach some pictures of my flowers to this post. They are getting so pretty! I have enjoyed working outside this weekend so much. The weather has been picture perfect!! I hope this is the start of nice weather for us.

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend. Thanks for stopping by & paying me a visit!

Garden Block finished

I decided this was the month to do a block exchange. The theme was garden blocks. I KNEW I could find a pattern for it!!! When I saw this one, I knew it was the one to do!!!! I pulled flosses & then went on a fabric hunt. This one seemed perfect!!!! It is Sassy's Sugar Plum. I love how it turned out. I actually think I will stitch this piece again, for myself. It is Lizzie Kate's Plant Love from the May issue of The Gift of Cross Stitching.

Now, I MUST pull Spyro back out. I had THOUGHT I might finish him by the end of May, but now I am pushing it to June. We shall see!!!! I want to finish these large projects I have going!
Thanks for visiting & have a wonderful holiday weekend!

Till They Come Home

I stitched this piece in honor of my son & daughter in law. They are both serving in the Army. I wanted something to serve as a reminder to pray for them daily. When this design came out, I KNEW I had to do it. It is by VeeandCo. I did it on bone lugana, 32 ct. I didn't do the backstitching. I liked how it looks without it.

Playlist added

How fun!!! One of the groups I am involved with has been talking a lot about music here lately. One of the gals said she added playlist to her blog. I had to check it out for myself! I pleasantly surprised myself by figuring out how to do it all by myself!!
I have to add---songs from my early childhood have been talked about, so one of the songs on my list is there for that reason!!!!!

I will give you a clue! My dad LOVED to sing it to me! As I got older, he did it to bug me. So dad....this is for you!!!!
All of the other songs are songs that popped into my head as I tried to create a playlist!
On the stitching front, IF I would get off of this computer, I would probably have a finish tonight, but I have wasted so much of the evening, it will be tomorrow. Stay tuned.....

the beauty of spring

It is a gorgeous day here today. A bit nippy, but gorgeous! So, I took advantage of the fact & worked outside a bunch. I ran the tiller thru the garden again. DH did it the other day & prepped it for me. I did it today, & then planted everything. Oops! Not everything. SOMEONE bought too many tomato plants & didn't have room for the green beans & the zuchinni. I guess the garden needs to be made larger, because I MUST have them in the garden. I am also including a few of my other favorite pictures from the past couple days! Enjoy my country yard!!!

Biscornu Finish

I just completed a biscornu that I started a couple days ago. I have been busy, so it took longer than it should have. I just chose a piece of fabric I had in my craft room. I don't know where it came from!!! I then chose a floss that I liked with it. I am very happy with the outcome of it.

Thanks for visiting & have a great day!

Not really!!!

I just finished a design called "Bring on the Snow" by Waxing Moon. I really don't want to bring on the snow! We are just starting to get an occasional day of spring! It was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS on Friday & Sat. We got so much outdoor work done. Now, we are back to cold today, but that is ok.

Anyway, this piece was done on Enchanted Fabrics " Dragon's Mist" mystique lugana opal. I used the dmc colors it called for. I love how it turned out! The snowman just kind of "pops" on this color.

Thanks for stopping by & I hope you have a wonderful week!

Needleroll arrived

The needleroll I did for an exchange has arrived at it's new home, so I can show it now! It is a freebie pattern from Bent Creek from some time ago. I did it on Sassy's In the Meadow fabric. I love how it turned out & I really hated to part with it, but it was for an exchange, so I did.

I hope the new owner enjoys it as much as I did!!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Two small finishes

I have two small finishes to show this week. The first is the ornament I stitched for the month of May's SAL's. It is The Greatest Gift is Love by Lizzie Kate. It was in the 2001 JCS Ornament issue. It is done on bone lugana with Carrie's flosses. I had this tuck pillow in my box & I thought it worked perfect for it.

My second finish is a freebie from Linen Flowers. I love it! I saw it & decided immediately that I needed to do it for my mom for Mother's Day. I don't think my mom reads my blog, so I think I am safe showing it! Sorry mom if you are reading this!!! I had the coaster on hand, so it worked great!!!!

I also was working on a model this week, so that is the extent of my stitching.

The weather today was GLORIOUS!!!!!!! We typically do not work outside on Sundays, but we had to today. It was too pretty not to & the weather yesterday was yucky!!!! The flower beds look much nicer now!!!

Have a wonderful week everyone & thanks for stopping by!!!
