Skinny Jeans is Framed!

My husband just finished my Skinny Jeans frame. He had it done once before & we didn't like the paint finish, so he started over. I am happy with the outcome this time! He is still picking it apart, but that is the perfectionist in him. He wants his work to be right. I told him I would stand there & pick apart my stitching then, because there are things I don't like about it!
Now, the true story! Yes, I have to keep the skinny jeans & it will be a miracle, because right now, they don't fit. I have put on enough weight that my last summer's skinny jeans are just too tight!
Thanks for looking & commenting!
Enjoy your weekend.
and now, back to my model!!!

Moving to the border....

.....of the model that is!!!! Woohoo!!!! I have finished the letters part of the model I am working on. Now, to start the border. I hope it goes quickly. I think it will, once I get the flow of the pattern down.
I have a 'proud mom' moment I want to share. My youngest son is going on a work team over his spring break. He sent me a message last night saying he was asked to be a team leader. Oh, how that makes this mom feel proud!!! The leadership potential is there & I knew it all along. What a great opportunity for him!!
Thanks so much for reading my ramblings & your encouraging words. They are so appreciated!!!
Have a wonderful day!

Away from home finish!

Hi there! I have a finish!!!!!!!
I worked on this project on the days I babysit away from home. I wait til the little guy is down for his nap, so I get about an hour per week to work on it. I do not take my model away from home to stitch. If you look close at the bottom right hand corner of this fabric, you can see why! I left it lay on the couch for a minute while I went to answer their phone. I came back & their puppy had it on the floor, chewing on it. AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully, she just got the corner!!!
This is the 3rd & last of the Candy Cane Wishes ornaments from Plum Pudding Needleart. I stitched them on a rainbow opal. aida. I love how they turned out & think they will look great on my tree this Christmas!
Thanks for visiting & have a wonderful day!

Berries & Cherries Update

Hi there,
I am a day earlier this week than last week, but I felt I was at a good spot to take a picture. I can never tell how much I have done until I see the 2 pictures together. I think I made good progress this week and I am feeling the end getting closer!! I have the bottom right side to do and then the border.
It has been a crazy week. We purchased a new(er) vehicle last weekend & there have been so many things come up, it has been nuts! I have spent a lot of time on the phone, taking care of various things!
I hope everyone is having a great day & you have a great week!!!! Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate it so much. Thanks for all the encouraging comments! Keep them coming, so I can get this project finished!!!!

Model Progress

I haven't updated my progress on my model for a while, so since I had to take it out of the Q-snaps, I decided it was time to take a new picture.
I lost one big stitching day on Sat. I always have a lot of time to stitch on Sat., but I didn't this week. We were gone the entire day this week.
I am feeling the end of this getting closer, but I still have quite a ways to go.
I am not sure if people are getting my email messages of if I am getting everyone's messages, so if you normally hear from me & haven't, that is why. My email has been extremely quiet.
Oh, last time I posted an update, someone asked about the model. It is from: http://nouveauencore.com/ It is called Berries & Cherries. The model is stitched over 1 on 28 ct. evenweave. It is so delicate. I love how it looks, despite the time involved!!!
Thanks for looking, commenting, encouraging! I appreciate it so much!

Small Freebie Finish

The other day I found the freebie by Drawn Thread. I was told it is "I Love You" in French.
I thought to myself 'this design would be perfect on the fabric that I dyed!' So, I stitched it up & love how it turned out.
It will be a Valentine's Day card for my husband. He can take it to work & set it on his desk.
I used Dragon Floss in colors of my choice!
To answer a few people, the juice was from a berry mixture that included blueberries, black raspberries & red raspberries.
Thanks for looking & for commenting! Have a wonderful week!
Not sure what happened with the photo. Sorry! That line IS NOT in the picture that I took!

GLORIOUS MONDAY MORNING!

I LOVE Monday mornings! A new week, a fresh start.
I figured out why this morning!!!! I have had a relaxing, enjoyable weekend, so Monday I feel refreshed & renewed!!!
Since yesterday was the first of the month, I took a day off of my model & did my Ornament for the month. I chose Snowdon by Jemini Designs, from the 08 ornament issue! I love how it turned out. I still need to buy some buttons & some sort of floss to make his kelp. I thought it was interesting! On the pattern, it said that a sea otter will wrap himself in kelp so he doesn't float away while he is sleeping!!! How cool is that?!?!
We had a bag of frozen fruit with lunch yesterday. It was really juicy, so I set the juice aside in a bowl. When we were doing dishes, my husband asked where I wanted him to put the juice. I said 'leave it where it is, I am going to use that'. So, see attached picture for what I used it for!!! I love how it turned out!!!
Have a beautiful, wonderful Monday!!!!!!!
Thanks for stopping by. Please leave comments!!! I love knowing who stopped by!!!
