the finish is in sight!!!

I know, you are looking at it & saying "how can she say that?" But.......getting beyond that last section of white puts the end in sight, real soon. I have a deadline in my mind. We shall see if I can do it or not. I debated posting my update today or waiting until Monday, after I have had time this weekend to work on it, but I decided to update now, because I have other things I am working on today.......
I keep all my stitching finishes logged in an album. Well, I have been terrible about posting the pictures in it. So.....that is first on the agenda...in fact, they are spread all over the table right now.
So....I will show you my ornament piece, as of this past Wed. (I am only working on it when I babysit away from home) I am also showing you Christmas Village as of last night!!

Christmas Village WIP & a new start

hello all,
I have decided that I am going to be serious about getting my Christmas Village piece done. I have an idea in my head as to how long it will take. We shall see if that happens or not. If this weekend is any indication, it won't be happening!!!!! We had such a busy weekend again. When will I be able to stay home on the weekend?!?!?!?! It seems now that the kids are all gone (last one is away at college, so it is like he is gone), we are busier than when they were home.
Anyway, I worked on my CV this past week. I think once I get past all of the white stuff, the rest will go pretty quick!!!
I also started my Feb. ornament. I am only working on it away from home...so that means when I am riding in the car, or babysitting away from home. I think I will be able to finish it pretty quick.
I have been pretty discouraged with my blog. I have been talking to other bloggers as well. It just doesn't make sense how some people get oodles of comments almost immediately, & others have to drag comments out of people either by begging or by having giveaways.
I feel real good about it today thou. I have decided that I do this because I like to show what I am working on & have the 'record' to go back to when I need to find something.
I am trying harder to trust God with my insecurites & be myself!!!

What Happens at Grandma's......

Stays at Grandma's! Is finished!!! What a fun piece this was to stitch. And oh so colorful! I love the colors on it.
It is an older Waxing Moon Designs & now was the perfect time to stitch it. The boys were just here last week & I found this in my stash soon after they left.
I am going to have Duane make me a frame like the latest one for the LK piece. That way, I can put a piece of corkboard in it & put pictures of the boys there.
My picture does not do this piece justice. The fabric is a real pretty light green. The colors just pop on it. Must be the lighting in the house today. Can't imagine bad lighting in the middle of winter!!

finally a finish!

well, this small piece took a long time to do!!! But....I had 3 great excuses!!!!!!!! Baby boy, baby boy & baby boy!!!!!!!!!!
Our grandsons were here for 10 days, so I didn't get a lot of stitching time. BUT....I loved every minute of them being here, so that is ok!
I stitched FaLaLa on champagne cocktail lugana. I love the color of this fabric. So sad that Enchanted Fabrics is closing.
