Spyro is Framed!!!!
I showed my finish of Spyro a while back. Well, this weekend, my husband finished the frame for it & it now hangs proudly in my stitching room. I also took a picture of him today, so you can see how closely the stitched piece looks to the real thing!!! I am so happy with this piece. It will be a treasured keepsake forever!!!

Floral Beauty
edited #2!! Woohoo!!!! Blogger must have been having trouble!!! The pictures are here now!!!!! And even Mr. Cubby Bear is showing up right!!!!!! That makes me happy!!!
Thanks Julie for the comment, letting me know they were showing!!!! 11:19, my time.
edited: well, as we can see, the pictures SAID they uploaded, but where are they?!?!! I am so discouraged with my blog. I don't know enough about it to fix this problem. Sorry that you can't see the pretty flowers :<(
It is a beautiful day today. The sun is shining brightly, the heat & humidity haven't started yet & the flowers are gorgeous!!! I just had to go out & take a few pictures & cut a few oriental lilies to bring in the house. I wish I could add the scent to the pictures.
I am hoping the pictures will work today. I was never able to get the one of my bear to work. I took a new one of him today too, so I am going to try to attach it!
On the stitching front, I am working on a model, so I have no pictures to show, but know that I am still stitching & I even have a design in my head that I want to try to design for myself! Stay tuned!

Happy Birthday to Me!!
EDIT: I am trying & trying to add a picture, but it only shows about 1/2 of it or won't publish at all. I don't know what is going on!!! It looks fine on the camera & on the computer!!! I got the Champ bear, because he is so soft & I love his story & all the patches!!!
I had probably the BEST birthday that I have had in a long time. You
see, DH has never remembered my birthday in the 29 years we have been
married. Well, he has remembered, but not done anything. Well, he did
remember this year, & not only did he remember, he LISTENED & he
PLANNED!!!! Back around Christmas time, the last time we were at the
mall, we walked thru the Build A Bear Workshop store. I LOVED IT!! I
said that some day, I would like to do that. HE REMEMBERED!!
So, he took yesterday off. He said we were going to ________ & then
to the state park. (we love state parks)
We stopped at Hobby Lobby to pick something up for my dad. We then
headed to the mall. I had no idea why. We walked thru Barnes & Noble.
I did good---just looked!!
Then, we walked thru the mall. When we got to BABW, he said we need
to go in here. He said "you are going to build a bear, or a dog, or
whatever you want." He said "you are going to get an outfit for it
too". OOH HOW FUN!!!!!!!! You have to know, this was a BIG SPLURGE
for us!!!!!! I had so much fun!!!
After there, we stopped in one other store, because I wanted to get a
bottle of body splash, since we were there!!!! Oh, it is
heavenly!!!!!! I love it!!
We then went to the state park. We ate our picnic lunch on a blanket
on the ground!!! We then went to walk trails. We probably walked
about 4 miles total! So relaxing!!!
We came home from there. We thought our son would go to supper with
us, but he decided not to. So, we headed into town here & ate supper.
We both saved 1/2 of our sandwich, so we would have room for frozen
custard. ANOTHER INDULGENCE for us!!! It was heavenly!!!!!
When we got home, our son that is in the Army called to wish me Happy
Birthday. It was a fantastic day!!!!
One online group I am in does a birthday card/floss exchange, so that was my stash for the day. I think I have about 15 skeins of wonderful floss!!
Thanks for reading & sharing my special day!!!

Patriotic Finish
I am very happy with my latest finish. I saw this piece done on the 123 message board last week & I KNEW I had to stitch it. So, on the mission I went to find the magazine. I finished the stitching last night, before bedtime.
I laid in bed, thinking about how I would 'finish' it in the morning. You see here what I came up with.
I also 'finished' my July ornament this morning. It is A Wish for Hope & Peace by Blue Ribbon Designs. It is from the 2007 ornament issue.
Thanks for looking & for your kind comments. It is encouraging to see comments from other stitchers around the world!

testing
I have been told that my blog is not showing up as available. So, I am testing with a post that has no real value.
We had a very laid back weekend & it was WONDERFUL!!!!!! We went to a state park on the 4th & that was a lot of fun. We stayed home on Sat. & Sun, except for church on Sunday. We moved even more of the rock pile. The pile is so small now, it is covered with the tarp!!!!
I did some stitching, but there is nothing to show at this point!!!

July Ornament Finished
Took me a while, but I finished my July ornament this afternoon. I really enjoyed this one & I love the daintyness of the over 1 areas! It is the Blue Ribbon Designs ornament from the 2007 ornament issue. I think this will make a really cute flatfold.
I will have plenty of things for my finishing day, when school gets back in session. I don't know what day will be finishing day this year, but I will have a bunch!!!!
We stopped at Joann's on our way to the state park yesterday & I got a package of the eyelets to do more floss tags!!!!!! I am excited about them!!
Have a great rest of the weekend!!!
