Christmas Village WIP & a new start

hello all,
I have decided that I am going to be serious about getting my Christmas Village piece done. I have an idea in my head as to how long it will take. We shall see if that happens or not. If this weekend is any indication, it won't be happening!!!!! We had such a busy weekend again. When will I be able to stay home on the weekend?!?!?!?! It seems now that the kids are all gone (last one is away at college, so it is like he is gone), we are busier than when they were home.
Anyway, I worked on my CV this past week. I think once I get past all of the white stuff, the rest will go pretty quick!!!
I also started my Feb. ornament. I am only working on it away from home...so that means when I am riding in the car, or babysitting away from home. I think I will be able to finish it pretty quick.
I have been pretty discouraged with my blog. I have been talking to other bloggers as well. It just doesn't make sense how some people get oodles of comments almost immediately, & others have to drag comments out of people either by begging or by having giveaways.
I feel real good about it today thou. I have decided that I do this because I like to show what I am working on & have the 'record' to go back to when I need to find something.
I am trying harder to trust God with my insecurites & be myself!!!
Wishing all of you a wonderful week. Thanks for stopping by & for your very kind comments!!!

Very pretty work Shari. Keep it up. I understand how you feel about the comments but I also know how much we enjoy doing it and that is what counts in the end

Both look good, Shari :) I use my blog as my personal record, too. The comments are just extras :) and I don't worry about how many I get compared to others.

Don't worry about the comments. I do this Blog-thingy for myself and whoever wants to comment is welcome to do so and the rest I don't care about.

Good start on your Feb. ornament, i sure know the design as i've seen it a few times on others blog. The Christmas village is looking great and it looks like there's not much to do and it will be finish.

Great progress on you work! And about the comments, why do you feel so bad?! You have 10+ - 20+ a blog post? I dont get it? I barely get 5 - 10 comments. And I dont care. I know I dont go to everyone that comments on my blog to repay the favor.

Just be blessed with what you have :)

Shari,

Your wips are looking great I love the CV. It will be gorgeous when it is finished.

And I know how you feel about blogging comments. I try to comment to all that I read but some days it is difficult to find the time. I too look at blogging as an outlet for me. To keep track of my stitching and as a way to meet new stitchers and make friends.

I love your Christmas Village piece. This would have to be one of my favourites and it will enjoy watching you stitch it. Your Pear Ornament is beautiful too. You are so lucky to be able to stitch while travelling - I get car sick real real easy. I am glad that you are feeling better about your blogging. It is always nice to read yours. Hugs and God Bless

Your WIPs look fantastic of course. Hang in there about your comments. Try to blog if/when you enjoy it. It's for you not for us. I do comment though cause I know you appreciate it.

I'm so glad to hear that you've made the decision to finish Christmas Village, Shari! Maybe by seeing yours, it will inspire me to get going on mine. First I have to buy the silk package for it, though. It really is such a charming piece, isn't it?

Glad to see your pear tree start, too. I'm still trying to make up my mind on this one.

I'm so glad you write your blog, Shari--otherwise I would never have "met" you!!

Oh Shari I promise I will never visit your blog again without leaving a comment. :) I love seeing what you're working on and really enjoy seeing pictures of "the boys"!

Oh, Shari, I once got so discouraged on people not making any comments, that I almost cried. and you know what, if it would not be for you, many a times I feel kind of ignored in the blog land. Then again, I'm picking up courage because I learnt to keep the blog for myself, and I know there are people to visit my blog, just they do not feel to comment. Suit themselves, I am happy with my work. Thank you for always making a point to visit and say hello! love, Lori xxx

Your WIP's look good! Don't worry about the comments, a lot of people are probably stopping by without leaving any. I'm terrible with leaving comments myself.

Love CV. I love to see your blog Shari, so please keep blogging! I don't look too hard at my comment numbers, but like to keep my blog going as a record for myself of what I've done and received.
