What a Day!

Wow, today was one of those days that make you wonder about our modern technology! I got up with great intentions. I KNEW I would finish my latest project early this morning. And, I did. But, the computer had other ideas. It chose today to decide to not want to be nice. I could not get online for the majority of the day. It would 'come on' for a minute or two, then 'go out' again. So, I was not able to post my finish on here, on the 123 message board or any groups.
I also had planned to add a bunch more patterns to my sale blog today. Not done yet either!! But, alas, we are back up & running, thanks to my DH & I will get them added yet tonight.
I am planning to add these charts to my sale blog, along with a bunch more.
I stitched Christmasland by Raise the Roof Designs on 28 ct. brushed suede opal. by Sassy's Fabby's. This fabric was perfect for it!!!
I subbed almost every single color, because I did not want to spend the money on the silks. (I purchased the patterns used from a girl on the 123 board.
Here are my substitutions:
Fern Frond --- weeping willow
Blue Lagoon---Carrie's midnight
Eiffel tower-- I used this.
Bean Stalk-- GAST Forest Glade
Icing--CC Magnolia Blossom
Mud Pie-- La Tierra
Briar Patch--Hickory Sticks
Cranberry--Manor Red
Butterscotch--I used this.
Collard Greens--I used this.
Fresh Raspberries-- apple fritter

I am so glad the school year is about over. I love my babysitting job & the kids that I care for, but I am ready to be able to get more things done around the house & in the yard. I want to get my flower beds looking nicer & the strawberry patch is in dire need of weeding. The poor strawberry plants are hidden, but oh the flowers on them sure show up!!
Have a great week!!! Thanks for stopping by & for commenting. I appreciate each & every one of you!!!!

Shari,
What a beautiful finish! I love your substitutions. I was inspired when I came to your blog unaware that I would be. The song I pledge allegiance to the lamb by Ray Boltz is just what I needed today. Thank you!
