where has the year gone? I cannot believe it is already the first of May....
The college our son graduated from in Dec. has already had their spring graduation.
The public schools will be out at the end of this month or soon after.
The weather is starting (for the second time) to warm back up.
BUT
MOST IMPORTANTLY: The HUMMINGBIRDS are BACK!!!!! I was sitting in my
rocker earlier & there they were!!!! Taking a very long drink. I
told the little guy that I babysit for that they must have just arrived
from their long journey & were very thirsty.
Onto stitching. I have two pieces to show updates on today.
The first is my Winter Sunset Cottage piece. I am loving working on this
& I sure wish I had more stitching time....but, I guess life does
have other obligations, besides stitching!!!
The second is a
finish!! I have finished the 3rd of 4 of this series......the only one
left is the Candy...I will work on it soon.
I hope you are all
having a great week....thanks for stopping by & for the kind
comments.....they are all read & appreciated.

Our Rufuos Hummers return to the Willamette Valley of Oregon about March 15th. Interesing that yours are later.
A lovely finish and you are motoring along on the WIP, it really is a lovely piece.
I would love to see the Hummingbirds.
Your stitching is looking great!
Hugs Yvon.
Hello,
your finish looks delicious!!!! The humming birds have not arrive here in Texas hope soon!!!! Yes this has gone quick!!!!
Beautiful stitching, Shari!
Lizzy, I haven't seen any hummers in TX either...I thought it was just b/c I haven't been spending time by their feeder. :-(
Such a cute finish, Shari and your progress on the cottage is wonderful. Never enough hours in the day are there?
Enjoy those hummingbirds--haven't seen any around here yet and today is dark and gloomy :(
Great progress on the cottage Shari. Congrats on the finish. It looks yummy.

Is the cottage the free kit you got? Cute little finish too. I have seen hummers around here, but when I hang a feeder they never feed at it and just around my annuals! Loved the 80 degrees today!
I know Shari, this year just seems to be flying in. Such a cute finish and love your cottage WIP.
Good progress on the cottage and such a cute finish!
Hope you are having a good week!
The cup cake looks good enough to eat! Great job on it. Great progress on your WIP. I look forward to seeing more progress on that one.
I ask myself the same question all the time. I have the impression that early spring was just yesterday, and now everything is deeply green and the grass is high and the tulips are nearly gone already.
We don't have hummingbirds here but I'll see them soon when I will have my next trip to the US.
I love that Winter Cottage piece. Very nice progress!
