Weekend Project!!!!!

One of the online stitching groups that I am in did quilt blocks a while back. Several of us chose a theme & others stitched blocks for us. I am doing 2 quilts. I am alternating boys & girls on both of them.

I have had all of the blocks for the first quilt for a while, but I have been scared to do the quilt. I finally decided "DO IT". So, Friday night, I got busy. I spent all day Sat. & all afternoon & evening today. It should not have taken that long, but I ran into trouble because of the backing I used on the stitched pieces. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
Anyway, it is close enough to done to show a picture!!!!! I need to buy a package of batting & then add it & the back!!!!!!
I am very happy with how it looks & now I can't wait for everyone to finish their blocks for my second quilt!!!!!

Thanks for looking!!

Non-cross stitch finishes!!!

This week, I decided I had better get my winter purse made or it would be too late to use it. I got the fabric a while back & just hadn't done it. I always dread making them, but the results are always so good, that I want to do more!!!

I had plenty of fabric left, so this morning I made a journal cover as well. I keep track of my stitching finishes in the journals & put pictures in them.

I love the fabric I used & now I am on a mission to find more Debbie Mumm fabrics! A new obsession/love!!!

The last picture is looking out my dining room sliding glass door. If you look real close, way out in the field, there are a BUNCH of deer. These "friends" visit nightly while we are enjoying our evening meal. Last night, I bet there were 50+ out there!!! What an awesome sight!!!

Thanks to all who view my blog, comment, etc.... It is a big encouragement to me!

Three Finish Week!!!!

WOW!! I have 3 finishes this week!!!! Yes, they are all pretty small, but still, 3 of them!!!
I cannot show the first one yet, as it is a model, so stay tuned!!!
The second is a small freebie from Helga Mandl. It is called Ops. I did it on 18 ct. blue sapphire metallic from Sassy's. I used dmc to stitch it.

The third was designed by the husband of an online friend. I did it on 16 ct. Butterfly Kisses from Sassy''s. I used dmc & dinky dyes flosses for it. ( mother of pearl, christmas pines, & yallingup)

I am not certain yet how I am finishing either of them. I am thinking pinkeep for the 3rd one. It is the perfect size!!!

Thanks to all who comment....I do appreciate it so much!!!

Iced Tea Finished

I have had this pattern for quite a while & just never stitched it. I have wanted to, but haven't! Well, one of the groups I am in is doing it as a stitch a long! So, that gave me great incentive to pull it out & do it!
So, I present to you.... Iced Tea, by Midnight Stitching. It is done on Berrylicious Flair, by Enchanted Fabrics.

Christmas Village update

I didn't have lots of stitching time the past week or so, but I did have one tiny finish & I worked on my Christmas Village some. I can see the progress. And so can my husband, so that is good!!! (he got this for me last Christmas!!)

I am taking a few days break from it & working on something for a SAL that I hope to post as a finish this week!!! Stay tuned!

First Finish of 2008

I finished my first piece for the New Year today. And, it is totally finished!!!! I did the Prairie Schooler ornament out of the 2007 ornament issue. I love how it turned out.

Now, back to my Christmas Village for a while!!

Beautiful Snow

The snow on the trees is just breath taking today. I had to go out & snap a bunch of pictures, despite the 3 degree temp!!!! I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoy seeing this in my front yard & across the road in the woods.
