Sunday update

Where did this past week go?! I really don't see a lot of progress on my projects!

I started & finished a needleroll thou, so that is good! I cannot show a picture yet, because it is for an exchange.

I also worked on Cherry Hill a little, but not enough to show a progress picture. I started on an airplane for my husband, but again, not enough for a picture.

I started a model last night, but, no picture! Noticing a pattern here?!?!!
I DO have a progress picture of Spyro. I have a goal in my head, but I don't know if I will be able to make it or not. You are seeing the whole width of the project in this picture. (minus the part the scanner cut off, but we all know that is done.

My "Until they come home" pattern arrived, so I need to work on it too.

And then, there is the monthly ornament for my SAL's & the May challenge project for the Challenge group. Ok, why am I sitting here?!?!?! I better get myself busy!!!

Enjoy the beautiful springtime!!!!! We SHOULD have lilacs in full bloom this week!!! I can't wait!!!
Until next time, thank you for stopping by & for commenting!!!!!

I have a new finish!

I finished my Neighborhood Row on Sat. evening. I loved stitching this piece. It was so relaxing & it turned out super, I think. I used all dmc floss for it. The only one I changed was the moon. It was suppose to be a real light blue & it just blended in with the fabric. I thought this light grey/silver was perfect! The fabric is a piece of Silkweaver's Solo that someone sent me. I LOVE IT!!!!!! I only used 1/2 of it, so I have the other half for another project!!!!

I have been working on a project for an exchange now, so I won't be able to show it. I will be getting back to Spyro real soon thou too.

Thanks so much to all who encouraged me to keep posting on my blog. I guess more people look than I realize. I appreciate it much!!!!

I am also excited about a project I will be doing real soon. Vee had a sale on a pattern that I just had to get!!!! It will help me remember to pray for my son & daughter in law. I am attaching the web pix here.

finally an update

EDITED:
thanks to EVERYONE who has commented today. It helps SO MUCH to see that people are visiting my blog. It shows me that people are looking, even if they are not commenting. THANK YOU!!!!

Hi all,

I have been stitching away, but STILL no finishes. I started three new pieces last week, plus resumed working on Spyro. I only have scans of one of the three new starts. It is Bent Creek Neighborhood Row. My best friend & I are both working on this piece. I have worked on it in the evening a couple times.

I am stitching BC on a piece of silkweavers solos that I had on hand. It seems perfect for this project. I am using the dmc colors it calls for.

I have spent MUCH time working on Spyro. I am going to post my previous picture & the one I just took this am. I am hoping the pin shows up in the one from today. That shows how close I am to having the full width of him done. If I work real hard, I should be able to finish him fairly soon!?!?!?!?

I have been rather discouraged with blogging. It doesn't seem to draw the interest it used to.

Thanks to all who look & those who comment! I LOVE seeing the comments---helps me to know people really do look at my blog!
Have a great spring day!!!!!

Freebie Finish

I have seen this done by several people lately & I knew I had to do it as well.
This is Alphabet Tree by Blue Ribbon Designs. I did it on 25 ct. bone lugana, over 1.

I used Carrie's Wildflowers floss. I LOVE how it turned out. I think I want to make it into a small needle cushion, but I am not sure yet!!!

Thanks for looking!!!

Needleroll finish

I have done a couple needlerolls in the past, but this one has a few steps I have never done. I haven't done the hemstitch on the others or a french seam. I followed an online "class" on how to do this finishing & it worked very well.
The pattern is Scandinavian Stitches--Christmas Tree from the 2007 JCS Ornament Issue. I did it over 1 on 25 ct. evenweave. I love the delicateness of it!
(this is my ornament finish for the month of April)
