SAL Progress & exchange received

I finished part 3 of the stocking SAL. I am loving this piece more & more each time!!! The colors are so pretty!!!!
Also, I received word that Wendy received the Christmas ornament I sent her. I am involved in 2 ornament exchanges. One was to be mailed by the end of Oct. The other I had more time on. (Wendy's) Well, I got them both done, so I sent both of them on Oct. 31st. I have not heard anything about the other one, but Wendy got hers. I have not heard BOO about the one I am to receive from the first exchange. (Wendy's is the reindeer one!!!)
I am really getting frustrated with exchanges. The group moderators set mail dates for a reason. I don't think in all the time I have done exchanges, I have received something in a timely manner. Mine are always late. What ever happened to being timely??
Ok, off my soapbox & back to my stitching!
Thanks for visiting & have a wonderful day. Looks like a great day to stitch here!!!!!

You just inspired me on how to finish my ornie I have to do for an exchange @ our IH35 stitching group.
THANKS!!!

Cute ornaments you've made for the exchanges, looking forward to see the third one. Hope yours arrive soon.
The SAL piece is really looking lovely.
Have a nice day.

I love the way you added the little metal grommets at the corners of your ornaments. What lucky recipients!

I am really sorry your exchanges always arrive late to you. What a bummer! Hopefully they will show up soon and you will be thrilled!

Happy stitching! :-)

Both are great, Shari! The grommets are a nice touch--haven't seen them used on ornaments before!

I have never participated in an exchange yet--have mixed feelings. I suppose personal one-to-one exchanges would have better results?

Wow - love the ornies and your stocking!

Your ornies are both perfect of course haha. Great Job on them.

I would suggest speaking with the owners. Sometimes they hear stuff and it doesn't get passed on. I had gave up on exchanges until our new group we are in together. Hang in there. I would love to exchange with you sometime haha.

Hi Shari,

Long time no speak. I'm organising an ornament exchange and apart from a hiccup at the beginning, I think it's going ok (for the time being).

Maybe I'll have got my act together and spend time on the board to do the BC exchange next year.

Love that reindeer, I've stitched it for a couple of exchanges before.

Your ornaments turned out nice, Shari. I guess I've been lucky in that I've received all my exchanges on time. The quality of a couple have been questionable, though. As a coordinator of exchanges, it's frustrating for us also when participants don't mail out on time (or at all!)
