Two Small Finishes

hi all,
Well, the boys have come & gone. We had a wonderful week with them here. They have grown so much, just in the month since we last saw them! Oh my!!!! It won't be long & they will be walking all over the place. Two of them were taking up to 10 steps while they were here, but they would then plop down!!!! The third one has no interest! But...he has the cutest crawl!!! He crawls from side to side. It is hard to explain in words, but just picture crawling, but to the side, not the front! Too adorable!
I am involved in a Christmas Ornament Round Robin with one of my groups. I got my first assignment just before the boys arrived. So.....that is what I took in the car on the day we went to get the boys. I got about 1/2 of it done that day. (Sunday) I finished it on Tues. morning while they napped.
I then worked on my Sylvia's SAL piece, as I had time. I didn't get a lot of stitching time but hey, that is ok!!!!
I got LOTS of baby loving time & that is MUCH more important!!!!!
The canning season has officially started. Today, I am doing tomatoes & jalapeno peppers. I have 12 pints of tomatoes. I will use these in chili & spaghetti. I have never done jalapeno's, but I have so many, I decided it is time to try!
Have a great week & thanks for stopping by!

You're right, you have to enjoy those baby's now because they grow so fast. Pretty soon they will be teenagers and too busy -- you can do lots of stitching then. Your sal is looking good.

The ornament and RR are both great! Good luck with your canning, I am knee deep in it too right now, each year I say..THIS IS THE LAST YEAR, but each year I end up with a bigger garden courtesy of my husband...LOL...Glad you enjoyed your time with your boys!

So glad your time with the boys was so special, Shari... I think I need a triplet photo fix soon--hint, hint!! I love babies as they begin to walk--they get that cute determined look on their faces and just go for it.

Your ornament is darling--love the little bluebird on top of the tree. And your SAL is coming along beautifully--can you believe it is August already? Where is this year going?!

Good luck with your canning--you'll be so glad you took the time when winter comes around!

Shari, your ornament is darling and I just love that SAL! I think that Mylene is doing the same one? It is so cute; love the patterns.

I know you and Duane love having those adorable boys with you as much as possible; they grow so fast...take all the time you can to love on them!!!! lol

Hugs,
Sue

Ornament and SAL both adorable :) I agree that you have to enjoy the little ones when they are little - at least that's what I say when I'm getting hardly any stitching done ;)

Shari,
Glad you got to spend some time with the grand babies. Your finished ornie is so cute. Your SAL is coming along nicely. My husband and son love Jalapeno's. My husband cans his own that he buys from the store. He did can some he planted a few years ago. I don't like the hot stuff.

Hi Shari, your ornament finish is so cute. I can't stitch in the car, i get dizzy also with reading...wish i can do too. Your SAL is looking beautiful. Now, i can't wait for the next as i am so curious how it looks.

Goodluck with all the canning and so glad you had a great time with the boys.

Good luck with the canning, Shari. I suspect in the next few weeks, my tomatoes will have increased in numbers to the point of having enough to put up. Hope it doesn't all coincide with having to come your way for the birth of that wonderful grandbaby.

Love your stitchey finishes!!

Babies are definitely more important than anything else. heck, you can always stitch later but they won't that little again. Enjoy!

As for the canning. I'll put my order in fo a couple of the tomatoes without the jalapeno.

You stitched while "they" were napping?? How do you get all 3 to nap at the same time???? Glad you had fun and got lots of hug time in with them. Nice progress on your stitching.
