Two Finishes!

I finished my April Word Play last week sometime, but didn't post it. I got busy right away on my Great is Thy Faithfulness. I finished it yesterday afternoon! So, I am showing my two latest finishes today. I also have pulled out a very long time ago start......I am guessing maybe over 4 years ago?!?!!? I don't know why I put it away & basically forgot about it?!?!! But, alas, it is out now & I will work on it as I can for a while.
Things have been extremely busy around here. About 3 weeks ago, our basement flooded. The entire basement had water in it. We had to have professionals come in & do the work. We are so thankful we are early risers.....had we not gotten up as early as we do, the water would have risen up to the woodwork & the drywall. SO THANKFUL!!!!!! We are still working on getting everything put back where it belongs. I have taken probably 8 boxes of books to the local drop off books site. They are probably loving me!!
We are planning to paint our sons old room up here & make it the guest room. (it was in the basement) Figure while the place is tore apart, might as well make some more mess!!!! I picked two Disney Paints at Walmart & now we just need time to do it!
have a great week.......praying it warms up here...the weekend was COLD!!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your basement flooding, Shari--having been through it a couple of time myself, I know what a job it is to get it back to normal!

Your finishes are wonderful... I do love the April wordplay so much! That little bunny is adorable :)

Hope the rest of May is better for you :)

Both finished pieces look great. Wasn't Great Is Thy Faithfulness fun to stitch? I loved doing that piece.

Two lovely finishes Shari! What a time you've had with your flooded basement. Hope your weather improves, we're having very unseasonal weather too these days.

Your finishes are wonderful, Shari. You have been busy!

I'm sorry to hear about the flood but thankfully, you caught it in time. We have had basement flooding and it's a hassle to get everything cleared out and cleaned.

I hope the rest of the month is better for you and that it warms up. It has been chilly here too
so unlike May but summer will be here soon :)

Good luck on the re-decorating, it will all be worth the hard work when finished.

Oh Shari, they are so beautiful, your two finishes.
Sorry to hear that you had those bad flooding in your basement but good to know that it didn't do any major damage to the woodwork. But you must have been very busy clearing the mess and put everything back. Hopefully it has become warmer in your region and you can enjoy the sun again.

Nothing worse than water damage! Was it from rain? We've only had 1.3"in the month of May. It's been picking up more the past week though! Nice finishes too! Are you skipping May this year since it's June now? :-) Happy painting!!!!
