amazing autumn adventures!
This morning, I decided to take a ride to a favorite Amish store. We like to go to shops in Shipshewana for many things, but we also have a small shop we like that is a little closer to home.
I saw in their little ad last night, that they had apples for 10.75 a bushel. Now, any of you who know anything about apple prices, this was an amazing deal. Who cares that I have already canned enough applesauce to feed a small army! I had to get more apples. Besides that, I think I do feed a small army!!!! Literally!!! My three grandsons are an army of their own!
I took a few pictures along the way...don't mind 'car parts' in the pictures! When you are the only human in the car, you slow way down & take the picture yourself. I haven't taught my dog how to take pictures yet.
When I went out to get the mail, I found a wonderful surprise!!! I won a blog giveaway last week & the prize arrived today. Louise, over at Raggedy Stitches had a giveaway & I was the blessed winner. You can see that she sent out a wonderful assortment of goodies! There are several items in the package....I can't wait to sit & thoroughly take in the magazine. I haven't purchased one of these in a LONG TIME!!!
We are having a carry in & bonfire at our home tonight. The weather is ALMOST warm enough, we might eat outside.....time will tell.
Have a wonderful autumn afternoon!!! Thanks for stopping by!!!
Thank you Louise for the wonderful giveaway win!!!

Wow do you live near an amish town?? I wish I did! I would so love to go and visit. Your bonfire sounds great. Yup- eating outdoors is definitely the way to go. xx
Great price on the Apples. I too love going to our local Amish store. They always carry such great baking goods besides the yummy Amish cheese I'm addicted to.
Great fall pictures. Seems like Fall is here quickly this year.
The area looks beautiful Shari, thanks for sharing the pics.
Lovely goodies from Louise.

Beautiful pictures Shari. Congrats on the win!
Going to the Amish market is a treat, isn't it Shari? We have a few here and make it a day trip.
Lots of goodies and just fun to look around at all of the beautiful quilts and handmade items...not to mention the food!
Your treats look great...what fun!
The pictures look great. I do that too but have to pull over..who knows where I'd land if I didn't!
I was off the blogging for awhile. I hope that your bonfire party was a success. We would not be able to have one in this area because we are under such drought conditions.
We visited several Amish farms a few years ago while traveling through Pennsylvania. They all seemed to have wonderful crafts and goodies. I was thinking it would be nice to have some around here.
Beautiful pictures, Shari. Looks like a lovely weather!
And what lovely goodies received, enjoy!

Isn't this sunny warm weather ideal, Shari! What a change from the gloomy rain we had at the beginning of the week! Your photos are beautiful--just look at the blue of the sky :)

There was a programme recently on the TV here about amish kids who came over to the UK for rumpspringer (not sure that how you spell it) it was so interesting. How great that you can visit them.
