Flowers, Fawns, and Easter SAL

My crocus outside is SO CLOSE to being totally open!!! I opted to take a picture today so I could post it with my other updates. It could be a while before I have another blog update & they will probably be done blooming! I honestly do not know where this bulb came from. I never planted crocus at this house.....and I just have the one...
I finished my second fawn last night. I like this one so much better than the first one! You can see his eye ball for one thing!!! Everything just looks so much clearer to me.
Also, I forgot to update with the Easter SAL last week...I did stitch it, but didn't post the picture. So, this weeks picture is week 1-5, with parts 4 & 5 being new.
My husband got my frame finished for my LHN Monthly Sampler finishes. I have stuck the April piece in to show how it looks, but I am going to get glass for this one, so it isn't hung yet.
I hope everyone has a great week....thanks for stopping by & for commenting. I appreciate it so much.

Your lone crocus is probably the work of a squirrel. They (and the rabbits) love crocuses. They probably dug up someone's crocus bulbs for a snack and buried it in your yard, and it bloomed before they could come back for it. (One of my neighbors has a tulip that blooms smack in the middle of her front yard!) My back yard is often littered with half eaten bulbs. Squirrels! {shakes fist}

Nice progress on the Easter SAL. I can see this deers eye too! Glad you're much happier with it. Love the crocus. It's been so cold the past week, I don't even want to go out and see what's growing!

I just think a crocu is so sweet. Back East we had them spread around the front lawn and they would bloom just in time! Enjoy...I like this deer too.

What a fun surprise the lone crocus is! I agree with Anna's post - those pesky squirrels! AGH!

Wonderful progress on your Easter SAL and the frame you DH made looks great.

He made you a rough frame - I like the rustic look!

I have no spring flowers :( Tell the squirrel thank you!

And your other stitches look great!

All your stitching looks fantastic. And you are right, this does look much more like a fawn. Your DH did a great job on the frame - lucky you to have a framer in the family!!

Oh, I agree, Shari--this little fawn looks much more "fawn-like." What a cute piece...

Love your SAL progress and your lone crocus--better one than none (like me!) And your husband did a wonderful job on your new frame as usual :)

Have a great week!

Your Wips are looking great and i totally agree with you, sometime's you just really need the right threads to work with otherwise it just does not look good.
i love to see more of your garden.

Hugs Yvon.

I love the frame that Duane has made Shari. Is your plan to change the design in the frame each month? That's what I want to do with my PS season samplers (changing them every season of course!).
I agree that the second fawn looks much better!

Everything is beautiful!

I love crocuses. When we lived "up North" they always were the first sign of spring to me. We don't have them down here and I miss them.

Lovely stitching - I don't think I've ever done any Easter stitching - maybe I can put that right next year - bit too late this year :)
