stitching update

Hi all,

I haven't updated my stitching for quite a while!!! I worked on my dear diary Julia Flynn this past week & then I HAD to stitch another snowman before it got too warm!! I just love this little guy! He jumped at me when I first saw him & I knew I had to do him.

I am going back to my DD piece now. Maybe I can finish it this week sometime. I have so many projects that I want to do, I don't know where to start!!!

sign of spring!

Yesterday, we went out & raked leaves out of the flower beds. What should I find, but a beautiful little purple crocus, just beginning to open!!! Now, mind you, I have never planted crocus bulbs!!! I have no idea where this came from, but boy, it made my day!!! I just had to share it, before I share my stitching!!!!

weekend stitching

I cannot show a picture of my weekend stitching, BUT...I can tell you about it & get your excited about seeing the finish! I received my model fabric for Sassys on Thurs. Friday afternoon, I started my project. I finished it up yesterday late afternoon. I absolutely LOVE this color!!!!!! For those who don't know, I model stitch for Sassys Fabby's! I do the color of the month, in advance, so all of you can see a stitched piece on it when she introduces it! I LOVE DOING THIS FOR HER!!!!!!
I think you are all going to love the fabric for April & I cannot wait until I can show my stitched piece!

I pulled my Dear Diary---Julia Flynn back out today. I hope to work hard on it this week! I need to get back into the stitching ways that I used to do! I enjoyed that!
Have a wonderful week everyone & THINK SPRING!!!!!!!!

fabrics for quilt

Many of you have helped with quilt blocks for a quilt for me. For those of you who are clueless as to what I am referring to, I will fill you in.

One of the groups I am in decided to make quilts. We all came up with our own ideas on what we would like our quilts to be. I found 2 alphabet kid magazines that I had always wanted to do, but didn't want to take the time to do 52 blocks. So, that is what my quilts will be. I had people from all over the world stitching these blocks for me! I am happy to report that I have all 26 for the first quilt, so this summer, at the retreat the group is going to have, I am going to have help in putting the quilt together.

I still need blocks stitched for the second quilt.

But, I am so excited that the first one is ready to be made. I went to town last night & bought the material that I need for it. I am attaching a picture, so you can see how pretty the quilt will be!!!

If I have a few of the block pictures on the computer, I will add them too, so you can have an idea of what they look like!!!!(I can't find pictures of the blocks--sorry!)

If anyone would like to stitch a block for the second one, let me know!!! I would love to "fill it up!"

TWO FINISHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I am pretty happy about now!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, I finished my ornament for the STO ornament SAL. Thanks to Renee for the floss for his hat!!! It just adds so much to it!!!!

Just now, I finished BETHLEHEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love how this turned out! It should have been done a while ago, but with the rotation I tried, it didn't get the time it should have. But....I put it as priority this week & waaaalaaaaa!!! It is done!!!! I did it on Sassy's Sahara Gold & I used Carrie's Cafe au Lait floss.

Thanks to all who look & comment on my work!

Finished Finishes!!!

Hi! Well, thanks to my sweet friend Susan, I was able to "finish" a couple things today! I was all set to do this & I discovered my last sewing machine needle was broken. Susan to the rescue!!! She had some at her house, so over I ran to get one!!!!
I made my coffee piece into a cover for my bread machine, which sets right next to my coffee pot.

I made my Hoppy Easter piece into a basket banner. I will add eggs to the basket as Easter gets closer!

I will hit the half way point on Bethlehem tonight!!! Woohoo!!! The second half will go faster I think, because it isn't as heavily stitched!!

Monday evening

hello everyone! It has been a while since I updated! We all had the flu in our house last week & are just now getting back to normal feeling. It was no fun. We don't wish that mess on anyone.

The whole 7 project rotation thing is not going to work for me. I enjoy my small finishes too much & I can't handle not getting the bigger ones done! So, I have a few finishes to show this time & progress on a couple of my large projects. I will be concentrating on them until they are done!!!

First, I can show my Sassy's Fabby finish for March. It is called Luscious Lavender. I did a san man freebie from sometime last year. I loved this pattern when I first got it, but never did it, so when I saw this fabric, I KNEW I had to do it.

Second, I did a quick Easter piece on the days I was really sick. It was a fun stitch! It is a Lizzie Kate.

I worked on my Bethlehem a bunch while I was sick & I also worked on my Dear Diary, Julia Flynn. I love how both of these are looking. I am going to try REAL HARD to finish Bethlehem this week, but we shall see!!! I think I may be dreaming!
Thanks for looking everyone & have a wonderful week!!!!
