getting back to normal
Hi There!
I think the computer is getting back to normal. My husband has been working on it more every night. Today will be a test. I have not tried to use the scanner yet, so this will test one more of the issues! I scanned 2 of my WIP pieces to upload. They scanned ok, now to find them to upload here!
It has been a very busy week. My normal Wed. babysitting ended up being Tues. & then extra on Wed. Plus my normal Monday babysitting! No wonder I feel I haven't stitched much!!!
I am busily working on my model for the most part. I feel I am making good progress, but I fear not fast enough.
Sat., I had 2 other girls from my state over to stitch. We are all doing ByGoneStitches Quaker Christmas. I have attached a picture of mine. I worked on it that day and then put it away.
I am also attaching a picture of my Beatrix Potter SAL piece.
I did not get to work on my HAED last week. Maybe tomorrow!!
I will be home all day today for sure, because my husband had to take my car. The brakes in his car went out on his way home last night. Thankfully, it was a hose & there was enough fluid to make it home safely. So, I guess we know his project for this weekend!
As I was taking my pictures & scans this morning, he asked how many WIP I had. He could think of at least 6 or 7. We counted & I have 8. I told him that he knows I will finish them all. I just have to concentrate the bulk of my stitching time on the model until it is done!
I hope everyone is having a good week. I think the entire USA is being hit with unusual weather. Stay safe where ever you are! Thank you so much for visiting & for your kind comments. They are SO MUCH appreciated!

Problems, problems & more problems!!!
I am ready to take the computer & throw it out the window.
My husband was working on it on Friday, trying to make things better. Oops! Somehow he made it crash. Ok, we can deal with that. He has everything backed up, so we are safe. He gets everything off of it, and then restores it back to factory new. I thought we were good to go!!
Well, today, I am struggling looking at a couple blogs, I am struggling with sending some email,etc...
On top of that, the FROG has been here too often lately.
I do not have pictures to post today, because I don't think the printer/scanner is working properly with the computer.
BUT>>>>> I have made BIG progress, I think, on my model.
I also started my Quaker Christmas piece on Sat. Two dear friends came over for a stitching afternoon. They are both working on this piece too! It was funny watching all of us stitch. We each went about our piece differently. One stitches only in hand. One stitches with a frame. The other stitches with Q-snaps!
I felt like a little child with my stitching thou!!! I am stitching mine over 1 on 25 ct. One of them is doing over 1 on 28 & the other is doing over 1 on 36. Makes mine HUGE!!!
Ok, off to try to get more things working on this crazy machine!

Your Blog Rocks Award
wow! I received a Your Blog Rocks Award from Cindy. Thanks so much Cindy!!!! I have enjoyed getting to know you the past few weeks!!!! Your blog is very encouraging to me as well, so you deserve the award for sure!!!
The award doesn't specify how many to award this to, so I say Yeah to all who read my blog & comment!!! Consider yourself awarded.
HAED UPDATE
Friday is HAED day. I worked on my model early in the morning yesterday, so that I at least got some done on it.
I then thought, 'ok, I have the whole day, since school was cancelled due to the cold. (when we got up it was -20, windchills of -40)
Well, wouldn't you know, I would get tons of interruptions. But, I feel like I made good progress. I doubled what I had done. My husband looked at it when I was putting it away & laughed. He said he should never have had me buy a pattern for him this week, because he will be dead before Drummer Boy is done!!!
I worked a little more on my model after putting DB away for the night.
Cindy, I haven't forgotten about the award!!! Later today!
Stay warm everyone & thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Progress Report
Hello everyone! I hope you are all staying warm in this bitterly frigid winter weather. When we turned the radio on this am, it was -20 degrees, with a wind chill of -40. Burr! I have never seen it that cold.
I am concentrating most of my stitching time to my model for Stephanie. I didn't feel like I made much progress this week, but looking back at pictures, I guess I did.
I put a few stitches in my B. Potter sampler one day as well, so I am attaching a picture of it as well.
Today is HAED day with a group of friends. I have been trying to do at least 200 stitches each week. I can at least say I have progress that way. Stay tuned for that picture.
I have received a blog award from dear Cindy, so I will add that later as well!!!
Have a great day, thanks for stopping by & for commenting & STAY WARM!!!!!!!!

Model progress & HAED start
Now that the holidays are over, I am plugging away on the model I am doing for Stephanie. It is such a beautiful design. I have never stitched something this large on 28 ct., over 1. So, it is taking me longer than I anticipated. I really have got to get a LOT done. I am devoting most of my stitching time to it, but I also am involved in a couple SAL's. I am doing the Beatrix Potter SAL & a small group of us are doing a HAED SAL. My piece is the Little Drummer Boy.
The HAED SAL is on Fridays. I was out of town last Friday, so I did my Friday work on Monday. I had 218 stitches done. I worked on it this afternoon while the little guy I babysit was napping. I now have 400 stitches in it!! Wow, moving right along, huh?!?!!?
I will devote more time to it, after I finish the model. It is my priority right now.
Thanks for looking & thanks for commenting! It is so good to see that people read my blog!!!!!

ISO :>)/UPDATE!!!!!
I hope my son & DIL do not read my blog!!!!!
I found a birth sampler this am, that I MUST do for the new baby!!!!!!
I need help thou!!!! Do any of my UK friends have this pattern & be willing to sell it to me??? I would be forever grateful!
There is a story here!!!! My son is always commenting on my stitching when he is home. He says I am always stitching something with the alphabet. He has been known to ask, "Mom, aren't you ever going to learn your alphabet?" Wouldn't this just be the perfect sampler for the baby?!?!?!?!?!
Thanks in advance for any help!!!
DUH ME! I forgot to mention who the designer is!! Thanks Coco for asking!!!!
The sampler is by Historical SamplerCompany.
A dear friend led me to a website that sells JUST THE CHART for this, so I have ordered it!!!! Much cheaper than buying the kit!!!!!

after Christmas gifts
At church yesterday morning, some dear friends of ours presented us with a wonderful gift from them. They are missionary's in Brazil & they are heading back today. They have been in the US for about 6 months. They gave us a beautiful hand carved piece, shaped like the country of Brazil. We love it.
My brother & his family came over yesterday & he gave me an ornament that he stitched for me. (he has taken up stitching within the past year) My husband will get it so that I can hang it on my tree!
I am also attaching a picture of my New Year's Eve start. I have 3 HUGE projects for the start of the year, plus the model I am working on. I forgot to take a new picture of it, but I will later this week.
I am doing the Beatrix Potter SAL, which is what the attached picture is. I am also doing Quaker Christmas by Bygone Stitches & Little Drummer Boy by HAED.

A New Year, 2 new finishes & a new baby!
Happy New Year! We spent New Year's Day in the car. We went to visit our son & DIL in their new home. We had a wonderful time, visiting them in their home.
In case some of you haven't heard, they informed us at Christmas that we are going to be grandparents at the end of July/beginning of August!
I worked on & finished 2 small projects while in the car. The first is the second ornament from the Plum Pudding Needlearts packet. This one is Joy. I did it on the opal aida again. I love the look!
The other finish is Heartfelt Harvey by Imaginating. It is from the 2008 JCS ornament issue. I used Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe's "Christmas Red" for this project. It is stitched on white opal aida. LOVE IT!!!
Thanks so much for stopping by & I will catch up on reading blogs in the next couple days. Amazing how far behind a person can get in a couple days away!!!!
