long shot!

good morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We FINALLY have a spring like day today!!! Woohoo!!!!!!
I am seeking a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG shot here!!
I saw a finish on the 123 board this am, that I must find!!!! It is by Blackbird Designs. It is called Moonlit Garden from the loose feathers leaflet #22.
The verse on this piece is one of my all time favorites. I am hoping that someone out there has this pattern & is willing to sell it for a reasonable price or even loan it out. I take great care with patterns. I am putting a picture of it. I can't find an actual pattern picture.
Thanks in advance & now back to my stitching!!!!

Petites Lettres Rouges finished

This was such a fun stitch. I think I found the freebie on Thurs. of last week. I knew right away I had to stitch it. I have been waiting for the perfect piece for a special sampler. This was the one!!!!!! So, I started it on Friday & finished it this am.
I chose my favorite three colors to stitch it. I used Victorian Motto Sampler Flosses. I used # 120 for the green, I used varigated violet for the purple & I used rose pink#5 for the pink.
I tea/coffee dyed my fabric. The motifs in it symbolize myself & the person who will receive this piece someday. It will not be for a while thou!!!! (after I am no longer around!!!)
Thanks for looking & have a great day!

Earth Sampler Framed.

My husband got my frame made last night for my Earth Sampler. I bought a piece of rough cedar for the frame. The board is 8 feet long, by 6 inches wide, so I will get a lot of frames from this piece of wood :>) (that was my intention!!!!)
Anyway, this morning I got it painted. I had purchased 3 different colors of brown paint. One was too light, one was too red & I thought this one looked great. It is called coffee bean. How appropriate, since the fabric was dyed with coffee!
On the stitching front, I started 3 new projects over the weekend & then I started another one today. I hope to finish this one quick & then I can post it. It will be a special piece, for sure!!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone! The weather here MAY finally be turning to spring!!!
Thanks for looking, reading & commenting. It means so much to me!!!

Happy Day after Easter!

Hello everyone! We had a beautiful day for Easter. We had ONE nice day last week & the rest were either snow or rain. But, one day was nice. Then, Friday & Sat. were rainy again. Yesterday was beautiful! Today, it is raining again. I am starting to see a pattern & it isn't a nice pattern!
Anyway, I started 2 different things over the weekend. I haven't taken pictures of either of them.
I did start & finish something for the babies. I knew the train parts were one of the patterns my DIL really liked, so I decided to do them first. I did them on the newborn size shirts, since we have no clue when the babies might be born. ( we have been told triplets can be born as early as 28 weeks & have a wonderful survival rate. Normal triplet pregnancy is 31 weeks.) She is 22 weeks now, so who knows!
Anyway, I did the engine, a middle car & the caboose. Too cute!!!
I wasn't going to post them, because I am afraid people will get sick of baby stuff, but I have had a lot of people say they want to see them, so here they are!!!

Little Blue Hats

what fun stitches!!!!
I had purchased several of these hats YEARS ago & never used them. I have both pink & blue. I remembered them last week & wondered if I had 3 blue ones! I went & found them & sure enough, I had 3 blue & 2 pink. So, a project was born.
My DIL had picked out this alphabet in a magazine I have. I thought they were perfect for the hats. The boys are each being given a color. You can see by the initials who gets which---blue, green, yellow! I will not list the names here, because we aren't telling the names!!!
Each of these took about 2 hours to stitch. They 'came to life' with the backstitching!!!! I love that about the British patterns!!!
Thanks for visiting! Have a great day!

April's Christmas Ornament!

I stitched my April ornament over the weekend, but just now had time to finish it. I told myself no use posting a finish until it was FINISHED!!!
This pattern is out of the 2007 issue of Gift of Stitching. It is called Gingerbread House & it is by Olive Hope Design. I love how it turned out. It was a fun stitch & the fabric is perfect for the design!!!!
Enjoy & thanks for looking!!
Stay tuned for triple stitching later tonight or tomorrow for sure!!!

First Frame Sold!

Woohoo! My husband has been making my frames for quite some time. He has also made frames for my parents for both my mom's stitching & some important documents for my dad. He has made frames for my brother's stitching.
A friend asked if he would make a frame for her. It took him a while, but he finally got it done & we mailed it yesterday. I got permission to show it here.( added both pictures, because blogger was giving me trouble uploading it) He has 3 or 4 more frames 'to do'. (besides all that I want done!!!)
Sounds like he might be busy for a while, doesn't it?!?!?!?!?
Have a great week!!!!! The kids here are on spring break this week, so I am done babysitting for the week!!!! Look out needle & fabric!!!
I have 2 finishes to post as soon as I can. (one needs 'finish' work & the other one is part 1 of 3!!!!!!!! (think triplets!!!)

Earth Sampler Completed!

This was such an enjoyable stitch!!!! I loved every minute of it. I would have had it done so much sooner, but I didn't work on it too much this weekend, while the kids were home. We spent all the free time looking for baby patterns for me to stitch!
This is Earth Sampler by The Primitive Needle. I used a fabric that I dyed myself. I am really happy with how it looks!!! Looks very earth-y!!! I used many different flosses---I used some of the called for colors & some of my own. I used a couple DMC, a couple WDW, a few GAST & a few Victorian Motto Sampler flosses. I loved Vonna's idea for the hand in the bottom corner, so I adapted mine that way as well. I have an idea in my head for the frame, I just need to see if I can bring it to life!!!
Thanks so much for looking & have a great day!!
